Our Program
At Great Day Family Child Care, our programs are designed to provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that helps your little ones grow and develop in the best possible way.
Our Infant Program is a blend of love, care, and developmental activities that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. We understand that the first few years of a child’s life are crucial for their overall development, and we are committed to making these years as enriching as possible.
At Great Day Family Child Care, we understand that choosing a daycare for your infant is a big decision. We are committed to providing a loving, safe, and stimulating environment where your little one can grow and thrive. We invite you to visit us and see our infant program in action. We are confident that you will love what you see and want to become a part of our Great Day Family Child Care community.
Fine Motor Skills
Our program includes activities that help infants develop their fine motor skills. These activities involve small movements of the hands, fingers, and wrists. We provide a variety of toys and materials that encourage infants to grasp, pinch, and manipulate objects, helping them to develop their hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Outside Time
We believe in the importance of outdoor play for infants. Our safe and secure outdoor play area allows infants to explore the natural world, stimulate their senses, and enjoy fresh air. Outside time also helps to develop their gross motor skills as they learn to crawl, stand, and take their first steps.
Sensory Play
Our infant program includes a variety of sensory play activities. These activities are designed to stimulate infants' senses and promote their cognitive development. From exploring different textures and colors to listening to various sounds, sensory play is a fun and effective way for infants to learn about the world around them.
Gross Motor Skills
We provide plenty of opportunities for infants to develop their gross motor skills. These skills involve large movements of the arms, legs, feet, or the entire body. Activities such as tummy time, crawling, and assisted walking help infants to build their strength, balance, and coordination.
Language Skills
Our program emphasizes the development of language skills. Through songs, stories, and conversations, we help infants to develop their listening and speaking skills. We also use sign language as a form of communication, which can help infants to express their needs and feelings before they can speak.
Music and Free Play
Music is a powerful tool for infant development. We incorporate music into our program through songs, dances, and musical instruments. Free play is also an essential part of our program. It allows infants to explore their environment, use their imagination, and develop their social skills.
